Why Custom?

When you find a great fitting piece of clothing, you wear it again and again, because you know you look good. Wouldn’t you want all of your clothes to fit like your favorite pair of jeans? Your answer is probably an emphatic “yes,” so it should be obvious how awesome it is to have clothes made exclusively for you by a professional designer. Custom clothing allows you to get exactly what you want ranging from fabric, colors, and style to design and fit. Our custom clothing is drafted from your body and fitted to perfection so that you look as good as possible.

That said there are a few less obvious reasons to have clothing custom designed for you. Great fitting clothing not only adds to your comfort but also to your confidence. That feeling of knowing that you look good in your clothing projects outwardly to the people around you. You will be surprised how much clothing can add to your confidence and self image.

Ultimately, custom clothing is meant to be unique, one-of-a-kind clothing that expresses your personal tastes and flatters your body. Custom clothing is created with high quality fabrics and workmanship, classically styled, and meant to last. Ideally you will be able to wear your custom clothing from season to season by simply adding in fashionable or classical accessories.

Why Can't I Find Clothing that Fits?

You are not alone. About half of all American consumers cannot find anything that fits. There is no such thing as standard sizing in the United States. It’s a myth! Every designer and clothing company has their own sizing and proprietary proportions from which they then create their patterns. Collectively, the various companies in the Fashion Industry keep their sizing numbers relatively the same; however, you could easily wear a 6 in one store and a 10 in another. This size flexibility has led to the gradual shift, since the 1950s, in the numerical equivalents of sizes as retailers try to bring the average sizes down to smaller numbers creating a phenomenon called “vanity sizing.”

Another reason that clothing does not fit is that clothing available from department stores and boutiques is created to fit as many customers as possible. This "ready-to-wear" clothing is designed to fit a wide range of age groups and body types as well as work for a variety of occasions, so that the retailer can carry less back stock. As a result, you the consumer will often find something that you like but does not fit, since it is not designed for you, or something that will fit but is only available in odd colors or styles you do not like.
