The design for this wedding gown was inspired by a bearded iris, which is the bride's favorite flower. The bodice of the dress stands up like the top petals of the iris while the larger petals come down to create the skirt.
The dress was made in two parts with a cocktail dress over a skirt with a train allowing the bride to have a fun reception dress and a formal ceremony dress. The dress is made of french lace, silk chiffon, silk crepe, and a silk/cotton voile. The over all effect is a dress that sways and moves with the bride like a flower in the breeze.
